hELLO.

i'VE got a page to do with as i please.
hERE it is.

i currently play drums in the guvdaan (riffs crafted by gods, drumming to signal the end of the world or the start of something new), this is what you see when you close your eyes to go to sleep (angular post rock screemo math core) and guitars in big maggot stick (i think it's a joke-band) and mcthing (i know it's a joke-band). i also used to play drums in beever (lo-fi).

i am studying computing at imperial college london for 3 years (starting 2001).

i am also counting how many sentences i can end in brackets. (lots).

i found the guitar amp below on the way to college. i have cleaned it up. it is so retro. i think the troggs might have used one. it's got two valves in and it still works. i'm a lucky fucker.

here's a review of mcthing from nme from march 16th 2002.

MCTHING - AIRBOURNE MUTILATOR
As you can probably gleen from the picture (and it was difficult to pick one member, believe me) McThing aren't about to be put forward for the Mercury Music Prize any time soon. Among the many fragrant song titles on their CD a few stand out, namely 'Penis Puppetry', 'Iraqi Ass Map' and 'White Whore Momma Slut'. Tracks invariably start with a sample, which sets the scene for the aural offensive that follows. Vocals sound like Jello Biafra with Parkinson's, while the rest of the instrumentation sounds like it was recorded through a sheepskin microphone.

THIS IS WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES TO GO TO SLEEP - UNTITLED DEMO

First of all, if band badges are going to be as big as they were last year, this lot are going to be in trouble. For obvious reasons. You couldn't possibly fit that on a one inch round thing. They'd have to get shields with their band name on or something.

The tracks on here are a kind of noisy guitar affair, or, good oldfashioned Oxfam indie rock. We like that. Looks like the brown cardboard cut and paste tape (!) cover is there for a reason. This Is What You See When You Close Your Eyes To Go To Sleep must have their very own schedule, although the likes of Mogwai and a heavily speeded up Magoo spring to mind occasionally. Track one (which has, of course, a name. It's just very hard to identify that) kicks off with screaming and robotic samples, then launches into Pulp Fiction-esque guitars and more screaming. Track two features Come As You Are type early nineties guitars (and this is not to be seen as an offence!) that eventually build up to one hell of a noise. A seemingly co-ordinated noise though. Well done! This Is What You See When You Close Your Eyes To Go To Sleep get the sign of approval.
